What I do, and (a bit) about how I do it.

If you’re reading this, it’s either because you're not yet advertising online and want to, or (more likely) your online advertising isn't delivering the results (“traffic” or “hits” as we say) you’d like.

Building a successful business on the internet “ain’t rocket surgery,” as someone once said. It isn’t a dark and mystical art either. There are those who’d like you to think that bringing traffic to your website—and getting customers for your business—is magic, so they can charge you thousands of dollars to wave their wands and “upgrade” your site.

It’s not magic. It just takes time and effort. Unlike most marketers, I will show you how to do a lot of it yourself, sort of "pulling back the curtain" on the process that will help your online business prosper.

Many of the websites I see either look awful and don’t bring business, or they look good but don’t bring business. All the fancy graphics, Flash and splash in the world won’t increase sales if:

  1. people can’t find you on the web, and/or;
  2. you don’t give them a reason to choose you once they do.

I’ve been developing websites and helping clients improve their search engine traffic for twelve years, with a background in the internet and writing for 25 years. The things I won’t do are defraud you by promising what can’t be guaranteed, or try and cheat the search engines in the way I do sites. What I can do is show you how to make your site work for you.
